From lifesaving missions with Yorkshire Air Ambulance to local school projects and mental health support, Junction 32 is committed to giving back across Yorkshire. Together with our partners, we’re helping make a real difference — one cause at a time.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance
Supporting Critical Care from the Air
Junction 32 supports Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA), a lifesaving charity providing rapid-response emergency care to the 5 million people living across Yorkshire’s 3 million acres. With two air support units based at Nostell near Wakefield and RAF Topcliffe near Thirsk, YAA’s helicopters can reach even the most remote locations within 20 minutes – bringing expert critical care to those who need it most.
As an independent charity, YAA relies entirely on public donations to keep its helicopters in the air and its crews at the frontline of emergency care. Every mission is only possible thanks to the generosity of its supporters.
Saving lives across Yorkshire, every day
Angela Vyas, West Yorkshire Regional Fundraiser at Yorkshire Air Ambulance:
“Yorkshire Air Ambulance is delighted to be the official charity partner of Junction 32. Their support plays a vital role in helping us raise awareness and much-needed funds to keep our helicopters flying. We truly appreciate everything they do to support our work.
Partnerships like this are essential in ensuring we can continue providing rapid-response emergency care across Yorkshire, and we are incredibly grateful to the businesses and communities that stand with us in our lifesaving mission.”
Delivering critical care when it matters most
Last year, YAA’s critical care teams responded to over 1,400 incidents, providing lifesaving care to more than 1,300 patients across Yorkshire. YAA’s highly skilled team brought hospital-level care directly to the scene, delivering 417 lifesaving interventions before transporting 949 patients to hospitals and major trauma centres for urgent specialist treatment.
For 25 years, Yorkshire Air Ambulance has been at the heart of communities across the region, providing hope in the most difficult moments. As YAA marks this milestone anniversary in 2025, it is a reminder that none of this would be possible without the support of the people of Yorkshire.
Every donation fuels YAA’s lifesaving mission, helping us reach more patients, save more lives, and remain ready for those who need it most.
The Prince of Wales Hospice
The Prince of Wales Hospice has been providing care to people with a life- limiting illness since 1989. Their services are available to any adult from the Five Towns area of West Yorkshire. They care for patients with any life limiting- illness, including cancer, motor neurone disease and chronic heart and lung disease. They care for anyone over the age of 18, either as a visiting out-patient, or on their ward where they offer 24-hour specialist care. The hospice helps people live better with their illness, with many who stay with them, eventually returning home after overcoming a specific problem. Many choose the safety and dignity of the hospice for care at the end of their lives.
Adrian Greenwood – Fundraising Manager
‘The Prince of Wales Hospice is delighted to be the official charity partner of Junction 32 for a fourth year. Junction 32’s support has and continues to help the hospice support local patients and their families. We can not thank Junction 32 enough for continuing to support the hospice, we really do appreciate everything they do.’
The hospice is currently looking to recruit enthusiastic volunteers, for a number of roles we have. From fundraising to catering, from retail to wellbeing support, there really is something for everyone.

We are proud to support our local schools. In the last year we have sponsored the renovation of Smawthorne Henry Moore Junior School garden and sponsored a Student Incentive scheme at Castleford Academy High school.
